I recently popped in for a quick bite, and I was pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is casual and friendly, which makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal. The menu had a good selection, and I opted for the haddock with mushy peas. The haddock was cooked to perfection; it was tender and well-seasoned. The mushy peas added a lovely creaminess that paired beautifully with the fish. I also loved their homemade curry sauce—definitely worth trying! However, I found the portion sizes a bit generous, so if you have a smaller appetite, you might want to consider sharing. Overall, a fantastic little find that I’d recommend to anyone craving classic fish and chips!

I must say, my experience at this fish and chips shop was delightful! The first thing that struck me was the warmth of the staff. They greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel right at home. I ordered the cod and chips, and it was absolutely scrumptious! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside—definitely one of the best I’ve had in ages. The chips were golden and fluffy, a perfect complement to the fish. I also appreciated that they offered a variety of sauces; the tartar sauce was particularly tasty. The only thing I would suggest is perhaps some seating outside for those sunny days. Overall, I highly recommend giving this place a visit; I’ll certainly be returning soon for another round!

I can’t rave enough about my experience at this charming little fish and chips place! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely staff who made me feel welcome. It was quite busy, which is usually a good sign, and I had to wait a few minutes for my order, but it was more than worth it. I chose the special fish platter, which came with a generous serving of different types of fish—cod, haddock, and even some squid! Each piece was cooked to perfection, with the batter being exactly what I crave: crispy but not greasy. The chips were fantastic; they had that perfect crunch on the outside and were fluffy inside. I was also quite impressed with the homemade tartar sauce—just the right amount of zing! If I had to mention a downside, it would be the lack of a proper seating area; it’s mainly takeaway, which can be a bit of a bother if you want to sit down and enjoy your meal. Despite this, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place for its quality food and friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of the menu!

Had a lovely meal here last week! The fish was fresh, and the batter was light and crispy—just how I like it. I appreciated the quick service too, as I was in a bit of a rush. The only thing I wished for was a bit more variety in the side dishes; perhaps adding a few more options would enhance the experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back soon!
