However, I was truly impressed by my recent experience! I ordered a cod and chips, and the fish was simply divine—lightly battered, cooked to perfection, and not at all oily, which is a pet peeve of mine. The chips were thick and fluffy, not overly salty, and I loved how they were served piping hot. What stood out the most was the range of options available; I didn’t expect to find so many other items, like battered sausages and even vegetarian options! I ended up trying the mushy peas, which were delicious and added a nice touch to my meal. The staff were exceptionally friendly and took their time explaining the different dishes. The only downside was that the seating area could use a bit more ambience; it felt a bit bare and lacked personal touches. However, the quality of the food absolutely made up for it! I’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu and bring friends along next time. Overall, a lovely experience that exceeded my expectations!
