The cornbread was soft and slightly sweet, just the way I like it. I also indulged in the sweet potato casserole, which was like dessert on my plate—it was creamy and sweet, with just the right amount of cinnamon. My only suggestion would be to consider adding more seating; it gets busy during peak hours, and we had to wait a bit for a table. Wow, what a delightful dining experience! I took my family here for a special Sunday meal, and it was a hit! We ordered a variety of dishes to share: the fried chicken, barbeque ribs, and the shrimp and grits. Each dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The ribs were tender and had that nice smoky flavor that we love. The fried chicken had a delightful crunch on the outside, while remaining juicy within. I'm still dreaming about those shrimp and grits! However, I did notice that the service was a bit slow at times, especially when we were trying to get refills on drinks. While we were patient, it would be great to see a little more attentiveness in that area. Still, the amazing food and the genuine smiles from the staff made it an enjoyable outing for us. We’re already planning our next visit to try the desserts this time! If you’re in the mood for some real comfort food, I highly recommend checking this place out!

I’ve been searching for authentic soul food for ages, and I finally found it! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The decor is simple yet charming, with family photos and vintage knick-knacks that really add to the nostalgia. I ordered the fried chicken, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever had. The crispy skin was perfectly seasoned, and the meat was juicy and tender. I also tried the collard greens and macaroni and cheese, both of which were incredibly flavorful and reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking. The portion sizes are generous, so you definitely get your money’s worth! My only small critique would be the wait time, which was a bit longer than expected on a busy Saturday, but it was worth every minute. I can’t wait to return and try more of the menu - I hear the peach cobbler is a must!
