I popped into this pub for a casual dinner and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming it felt! The decor is charmingly traditional, which adds to the overall vibe. I went for the burger, and I have to say, it was cooked to perfection—juicy and packed with flavour. The side of sweet potato fries was a delightful touch, crispy and well-seasoned. I also admired how the establishment has a lovely outdoor seating area; I imagine it must be wonderful on sunny days. However, my only minor complaint would be that it was a bit noisy during peak hours, making it challenging to hold a conversation. Still, the lively atmosphere felt energetic, and I genuinely enjoyed my time there. If you’re in the mood for good food and a relaxed environment, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. I’ll definitely be back for another round soon!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming pub, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! Upon entering, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with rustic wooden beams and soft lighting that instantly made me feel at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed without being intrusive. I ordered the steak and ale pie, which was simply divine! The crust was flaky and golden, and the filling was rich and hearty; it was one of the best pub meals I've had in years. My friend opted for the fish and chips, and her eyes lit up with delight after the first bite. One minor quibble would be the service time; it took a little longer than expected for our meals to arrive, but the delicious food made it well worth the wait. Overall, I left feeling satisfied and already planning my next visit. This place is a true gem and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a relaxing evening with fantastic food and friendly service!

What a delightful experience at this lovely establishment! I’ve visited it a couple of times now, and each time has been a joy. The selection of local ales is impressive; I tried a couple of different ones and found them to be perfectly brewed, with distinct flavours that really showcased the local craftsmanship. My partner and I decided to share a charcuterie board to start, and it was beautifully presented with an array of cured meats, cheeses, and pickles. It’s a perfect nibbly option while enjoying a pint! I also appreciate how the staff are genuinely knowledgeable about their menu, ready to make recommendations based on what you like. My only suggestion would be to perhaps have a few more vegetarian options on the menu, as I noticed that the choices were quite limited. Nonetheless, the overall experience was wonderful, and I always leave with a smile. This pub has become one of our favourite spots to unwind after a long week, and I can't wait to bring friends along next time.
