Visiting this reserve was an absolute delight! The variety of trails makes it accessible for both leisurely walkers and those looking for a more challenging hike. I brought my dog along, and she loved roaming through the expansive open areas. The grass was beautifully maintained, which made it comfortable for her to run around freely. While the reserve itself is quite picturesque, I did notice that a few benches along the trails could use some repairs, as they were a bit wobbly. However, that didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all! I also loved that there were several lookout points, offering fantastic views of the ocean and surrounding nature. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of this stunning space. Highly recommend it for families, dog owners, and anyone who appreciates the great outdoors!

What a gem of a place! I stumbled upon this reserve while exploring the Waihi Beach area, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The pristine nature trails wind through lush greenery and lead you to some incredible viewpoints. I spent the morning hiking, and the fresh air felt rejuvenating. There are also several spots ideal for a picnic, which I took advantage of after my hike, enjoying a packed lunch surrounded by the beauty of nature. I was fortunate enough to catch sight of some local wildlife, which made the experience even more special. The only minor downside was that some areas could be marked a bit better for those new to the trails; I found myself taking a few wrong turns. Still, the beauty of this place more than made up for it. This reserve is truly a treasure for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life!

I recently visited this beautiful reserve and it absolutely took my breath away! The views of the surrounding landscape are stunning, especially at sunset. The walking trails are well-maintained and offer a great way to explore the natural beauty of the area. I particularly enjoyed the variety of flora and fauna, making it an exciting experience for nature lovers. There are also plenty of picnic spots, so I was able to enjoy a lovely lunch with my family while soaking in the scenery. My only suggestion would be to add a few more info boards about the local wildlife, as I would have loved to learn more. Overall, it’s a perfect getaway for a day in nature, and I can’t wait to return for another visit!

I am so grateful I discovered this lovely reserve! It’s such a peaceful environment that feels like a hidden paradise. I went there for a weekend hike and was completely taken in by the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings. The trails were well-marked, making it easy to navigate, and I loved how the paths varied from open fields to shaded woodlands. After a nice walk, I found a perfect spot to sit and just take in the calm atmosphere while listening to the birds chirping. One thing I would suggest is perhaps installing more signage regarding the local flora and fauna, as I would have enjoyed learning more about what I was seeing. Nevertheless, I left feeling rejuvenated and inspired by the natural beauty. This place is perfect for anyone looking for a serene escape from everyday life!
